Want McDonald's? There's One Meal You Should Always Avoid

Do you have a fond memory of McDonald's? We all do. Maybe it was your first Big Mac or that time you needed a snack at 2am and the Golden Arches was the only restaurant open.

We've all ordered from McDonald's at some point, whether to our great enjoyment or shame. Everyone knows that a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a supersized Coke isn't exactly good for you. But did you know about the item you should never, ever order?

While the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes breakfast may look harmless enough with pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patty, hashbrowns, and a biscuit, a whole lot of calories are hiding inside. According to CalorieKing, the entire meal contains a whopping 1,130 calories. To give you an idea of how much fat is contained in the meal, 2.3 pints of Breyer's Vanilla ice cream contains the same amount!

It also includes 155% of your daily recommended amount of cholesterol, 126% of saturated fat, and 90% of your recommended sodium intake. You'd better not eat anything else with salt or fat in it for the rest of the day!

So, if you're at McDonald's for breakfast, what should you order instead of the Big Breakfast With Hotcakes? Why not an Egg McMuffin? The delicious classic contains just 300 calories, 12g of fat, 730mg sodium, 30g carbohydrates, and 3g sugar. By comparison, it's a much healthier choice.
