Jonathan Jackson is a very well-known actor. He appeared on more than 350 episodes of the hit soap opera "General Hospital", where he won 5 Emmy awards for his performance. He currently stars on the hit show, "Nashville", a show focused on country music. While he does sing on the show, clearly he's never shown us his full potential.
Jackson also has a lesser-known, but equally as talented, music career with his band Jonathan Jackson and Enation. But no one knew just how amazing he really was until Jackson performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Tennessee.
Jackson sang the classic "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers, and many have described his performance as "the best [version] of this song since the Righteous Brothers." Considering how many people have covered this song, that's extremely high praise.
The song which was a hit when it came out in 1955, had a huge resurgence after the movie Ghost. We all know the scene with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, and it's the reason why even 60 years later almost all of us still know the song.
Covered by the likes of Elvis Presley, Cyndi Lauper, LeAnn Rimes and countless more, the fact Jackson's version is getting so much praise is notable.
Do you think it's deserved?
