Olivia Newton-John Announces She Has Cancer

After postponing many of her shows due to a sciatica flare up, Olivia Newton-John has announced she is currently suffering from a much more serious health problem.

The 68-year-old singer announced on her Facebook page that she is battling breast cancer and is reluctantly postponing even more shows through the end of June.

Newton-John has been touring her album, LIV ON, which is a personal collection of songs about overcoming trauma.

This is the second time Olivia Newton-John has battled cancer, with the first time also being breast cancer in 1992. Her sister Rona passed away from brain cancer in 2013.

Newton-John shot to fame as a country artist 5 years before her iconic role in Grease, with her song "Let Me Be There." She won a Grammy for her talents, and then became the Sandra Dee we all know and love.
