If there's anything we all have in common, it's our love for fast food.

Even the faint smell of our favorite fast food chain takes us down memory lane.

Before these menus consisted of dozens of options, they were simple in design and cheaper than you could ever imagine. If you grew up in that era, you probably miss that authentic fast food experience.

Here are 10 photos of the original menus of some of the most popular fast food chains in the U.S. The prices will shock you!

1. McDonald's

What a classic. The menu only consisted of less than a dozen items, which included burgers, fries, shakes, and other popular beverages. It wasn't until the late '60s that the Big Mac was introduced nationwide, and a decade later the Happy Meal made its debut, and a few years after that there was the Chicken McNugget.

Imagine walking into a McDonald's and paying 15 cents for a beef burger.

2. A&W

I don't know what looks better, the food or the prices. The first A&W drive-in restaurant opened in the 1920s in California and featured a long list of sandwiches and drinks.

3. KFC

The man responsible for the Original Recipe of 11 herbs and spices in the '40s started off with a simple menu. The menu above is most likely from the 1960s, the time when the fast food chain added buckets full of fried chicken. It's nice to see not much has changed, and the things that have changed have made the food at KFC even better.

4. Wendy's

This isn't Wendy's first menu when it opened in 1969, but it was one of the most loved menus at the time. The fast food chain was the first to launch a 99 cent value menu in 1989, until Burger King and McDonald's followed suit.

5. Burger King

The home of the Whopper got its start in 1953 and provided quality service everyone loved. The burgers were made in front of you, they were deliciously broiled, and they cost only a few cents. Now that's fast food.

6. White Castle

White Castle got its start in the early 1920s selling mostly burgers, fries, and drinks. It only costed 10 cents for a hamburger and fries!

Now the menu is completely different, and it doesn't include a juke box player. Instead you'll find chicken, fish sliders, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings.

7. Taco Bell

One of the first Taco Bell menus was simple, cheap, and arguably more delicious. There is too much happening on the fast food chain's menu now, but their original taco's have always been everyone's favorite.

8. Subway

Before it was Subway, Fred DeLuca and Dr. Peter Buck opened their first submarine shop called Pete's Subway in 1965. They sold hundreds of sandwiches, that ranged from as low as 50-70 cents, at one time. That menu looks good, but the variety of options they offer today is nice.

9. Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut was the definition of perfection when it first opened in 1958. One of the first menus featured pizza for less than $2 and beer. It really can't get any better than that.

10. Dairy Queen

Diary Queen was all about dairy when it first opened in 1940, but now the menu consists of a lot of hamburgers, chicken, and fries. A small kids cone right now is at least $2, while back then the biggest cone costed only 5 cents. Times have changed!
