People Are Getting Emotional Over Leonard Cohen's Letter He Sent His Muse

Leonard Cohen's death has struck the world.

Tributes have been pouring in all over social media, with people sharing their personal memories of how Cohen's music touched their lives.

But what's really taking center stage right now is a letter Cohen wrote to his muse, Ihlen, with whom he lived in the 1960's. Ihlen inspired his classic song, "So Long, Marianne."

Ihlen passed away in July of 2016. Cohen wrote her this letter shortly before she passed.

And this was the reply sent back to him.

The letter takes on new meaning now that Cohen himself has passed on.

Here is the song he wrote for her, "So Long, Marianne."
