People Are Using Breakfast Food To Apply Their Makeup

To blend or not to blend, that is the question. A few women are making me never want to put on makeup again thanks to their idea of a replacement makeup sponge.

When most of us put on makeup, we use our fingers, a brush, or makeup sponge. These "beauty blenders" are perfect for getting smooth, even application and they just make sense.

Recently, beauty bloggers have been using some pretty bizarre things to blend their makeup, including silicone sponges and socks. Early this year, a vlogger named Esther Gbudje sparked a new trend when she posted a video of herself blending foundation with a hard-boiled egg.

Here's what a real makeup sponge looks likeBeauty Queen UK

We get it, hard-boiled eggs are delicious to eat for breakfast with toast or in a good cobb salad. But do people really have to take slippery, smelly eggs and rub them all over their faces?

EGG BLENDING SPONGE I have seen loads of beauty hacks using different things as blending sponge like 🍅, kitchen scourer, pads even condoms (I would have loved to try that but I would have to answer loads of questions from hubby lol) so I took it a notch by using a HARD BOILED EGG 🍳 Sienna had a filled day laughing so hard she said 'oh Mummy you are crazy and I love it' lol. Well anyway did it work YES it did, would I use it again hmmmm MAYBE . Would you try this hack? Yes or No. What you think? Let me know what other Instagram Beauty Hack you have tried and it actually worked for you. Do enjoy the video. The people of Twitter had a lot to say about it, and we can't blame them.

Despite everyone's apparent outrage, the weird beauty hack actually works! You can see from the video that her makeup looks flawless, and because eggs aren't as porous as sponges, Gbudje doesn't waste as much product.

"The egg did give me the flawless look I was going for, and it doesn't absorb any product at all," Gbudje told Allure. "After each application, I cleaned the egg with wipes before applying another product on my face, so I would say it worked for me."

Decide for yourself! Do you think using a hard-boiled egg is a smart and creative way to apply makeup, or it is plain weird?
