it seems William and Harry have a sweet tooth just like their grandparents.
McGrady remembers making peanut butter and jelly muffins for "the boys" when they were young, and of course William picked out a chocolate fudge and biscuit cake for his wedding reception.
Both of the princes also enjoy traditional British fare, including cottage pies, fish cakes, and poached chicken. Expect to see at least one of those dishes at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, because Will and Kate's reception featured fish cakes and Yorkshire pudding.
When it comes to cooking for Prince Harry, McGrady warns that Markle has her work cut out for her. The prince is supposedly much pickier than his brother, especially when it comes to breakfast. As a child, Harry was obsessed with the kind of bacon he ate on a trip to Walt Disney World, which was "so crisp you could snap it." That meant broiling it, then cooking it in the microwave.
And McGrady isn't surprised that Harry popped the question to his new fiance over Ina Garten's roast chicken recipe. He says roast chicken was a favorite meal for the boys, especially with roast potatoes.
Even Princess Diana was very demanding about her diet. While the princess was recovering from bulimia, she requested a nutritious but fat-free diet, and McGrady had to modify most of her meals to suit her needs.
"Darren you take care of the fats," she told him, "I’ll take care of the carbs at the gym.”
