Runaway Bull Dies After Epic Escape From New York City Slaughterhouse

An escaped bull fled from certain doom at the Aziz halal slaughterhouse in Queens, New York City. The animal traveled 2.3 miles while being herded by police cruisers and tranquilized up to five times.

The frightened animal managed to escape the confine while it was being moved. It ran for about two hours before it was trapped by officers.

Sadly, as the bull was being transported to Animal Care Centers in New York City, he died from heart failure.

Mike Stura, the founder of Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Wantage New Jersey said that he was on his way to pick up the beast when he got the news of its death.

"I was there trying to get him," Stura said. "This is not the outcome I was hoping for."
