Selena Gomez Confronts Nick Jonas For Ruining Central Park Date

We all have memories of bad dates that we really would like to never bring up again. Unfortunately, when you're a celebrity, people become invested in your relationships, and no matter how much time has passed, you will be asked about your former flames.

This week, actor and singer Nick Jonas was put in the hot seat during an interview with BBC Radio 1's Breakfast Show. Nick, who is known for keeping his private life away from the prying public, actually spilled some details about his past relationships with Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.

Well, he wasn't given much of a chance to lie because he was hooked up to a monitor which showed changes in his heart rate when asked certain questions.

Things took a turn minutes into the game when Selena appeared in a video chat. The "Wolves" singer then brought up a double date they had with Taylor Swift and Nick's brother, Joe, over 10 years ago.

"Hello Nicholas, it is Selena Gomez," the singer said. "So I know what you're doing and I would like to remind you of a time where we all went to Central Park together, it was definitely over 10 years ago. I was wondering if that brought up anything for you, I know Central Park was really beautiful, it was actually my first time."

Nick's heart rate began to climb really high before he revealed what really happened during their date.

Back when Nick was a part of the Jonas Brothers trio and Selena was still a Disney Channel star, the pair were in a brief relationship. Although they never confirmed it, they were spotted together on multiple occasions.

Apparently, the couple tried to go on dates without altering the paparazzi, but that tactic only made things worse for their relationship. A memorable example was the double date at Central Park in New York City.

Nick told the Breakfast Show host that Selena "was unhappy that her Central Park experience was ruined by the fact that I walked about 20 feet away from her. Even though they were taking pictures of us and obviously we were there together it was like, "˜It would be better if we stand about 25 feet apart.'"

Nick continued, "So it ruined her Central Park experience, so her and Taylor Swift, who was dating my brother Joe "” but we never confirmed it "” walked 25 feet behind us as we walked through the park by ourselves."

The pair dated for over a year before breaking things off in 2008. Nick moved on with Miley Cyrus, who he was also questioned about during the heart rate monitor game, and Selena went on to date Justin Bieber.
