Fans of Olivia Newton-John are left worried after a major health announcement regarding the star has caused show cancellations across the country.
Though many believe Newton-John shot to fame for her starring role in the classic film Grease alongside John Travolta, it was actually 5 years before that when she released her single "Let Me Be There." The Aussie music star was huge in the country music community and even earned a Grammy for her work.
But now, at age 68, Newton-John is calling off shows on her tour due to a serious health issue.
Olivia Newton-John's team announced she is suffering from sciatica and will not be able to continue on her tour, at least for the month of May.
Sciatica causes severe pain in your lower back and can send pain down the back of your legs. It can be debilitating and render people immobile. Considering Olivia Newton-John would have to be on stage while suffering from this pain, it's not wonder she cancelled the dates.
We are sending our well wishes to Ms Newton-John and hope she heals quickly!
