The Shamrock Shake Is Back At McDonald's And Our Tongues Just Got Ready

Lancaster Online

It's time to get your wallet out, because McDonald's has brought back its iconic Shamrock Shake just in time for St. Patrick's Day.

The cool minty flavor has been a longtime fan favorite, which was first launched in 1970.

Several changes to the recipe have been made throughout the years, until the fast food joint settled on the perfect combination of mint, with hints of vanilla and lime, mixed with green dye, and finished off with whipped cream.

While the tasty treat is only available in the United States, Canada, and Ireland, those with a sweet tooth can nab the milkshake for only $2.19 to $2.99 depending on the size.

The Shamrock Shake has a cult-like following and unsurprisingly, fans are thrilled at its reemergence.

For those who like to mix things up, ask your cashier to mix in a tad of the chocolate flavor when ordering your shake. The mix of the two flavors will have you addicted and certainly coming back for more.

Will you be treating yourself to a Shamrock Shake this year?
