Shannen Doherty has been a real trooper through her entire battle with cancer. She has been sharing images of the of her progress and her latest updates continue the honest look at what it's like to fight cancer.
Doherty has introduced the world to the machine that is helping her fight cancer, and given it a name. "Maggie" is a radiation machine that she has to visit five days a week to try to beat her breast cancer.
"This is Maggie. I've seen Maggie five days a week for what seems like forever. We have a love hate relationship. I love her because she's part of the life saving treatment I'm receiving. It's astounding how far we have come with technology. One day, Maggie will be retired and the cure will be found. Things like immunotherapy are the future but for now.... it's me and Maggie. I'm seeing her twice tomorrow so that I can wrap this phase up faster. Goodnight sweet Maggie. See ya tomorrow. #cancerslayer"
Shannen's love hate relationship with this machine is understandable. While it causes so much pain for her, it is potentially curing her cancer.
At least she has found some ways to keep her spirits up! She has found that keeping active during her treatments helps her stay positive and feeling a bit better, so she takes regular dance classes to get moving!
It's so impressive that she manages to stay so positive during this whole battle!
Stay strong Shannen!
