Sophie Hardy has one of the greatest jobs in the world, and there are some pretty great jobs in this world.
The 25-year-old beat out 500 other candidates to become Weight Watchers UK's next "official eating officer." Her mission, as she has chosen to accept it, will be to dine out twice a week to test restaurant menus for healthy and tasty meals.
The work she does will help to prove that healthy weight management choices don't have to interfere with a person's lifestyle. A Weight Watchers report determined that 71 percent of British dieters felt that their choices limited their social lives. It was revealed to be particularly difficult for people between the ages of 25 and 34.
"Being chosen to eat out twice week in restaurants across the UK is an absolute dream job so I am delighted to be appointed as the first ever Official Eating Officer," Hardy told Mashable.
When Sophie was 16 years old and a US size 22, when she turned to Weight Watchers.
Since joining the program one year ago, she is only 28 pounds away from her target weight.
"I love food and I've always eaten out around three times a week, and I'm keen to show having a life doesn't mean you have to stop living." She tells Express. "There are ways to approach eating out so that it works alongside something like Weight Watchers."
