Shemar Moore is no stranger to the public eye.
The actor posts at least 5 times a day on social media, mainly about his work out regime or just "bein' goofy." He loves interacting with his fans and even has a clothing line called "Baby Girl" (the name he uses for his female fans). Part of the proceeds go to the National MS Society, a disease his mother suffers from.
But recently, it seems that Shemar has been taking some heat about his romantic life.
The 46-year-old has never been married and is rarely linked to anyone publicly. He also caused a kerfuffle when he posed with an LGBTQ fan, because apparently that's an issue? The rumor mill started up speculating that Moore was gay, but he shot those down pretty quickly.
Recently, Shemar Moore explained why he chooses to publicly refute rumors about his sexuality.
"I just think it's all silly. If you're gay, you're gay. I'm not, and I know that and I'm very comfortable with who I am and I love women," he said. "I've dated plenty of them. If you think I'm gay, send your girlfriend over to my house for the weekend and see what happens. For real. You can call that arrogant if you want to. I just call it confident. You can call me whatever you want, but you don't know me."
Seems like he's made it pretty clear that he's straight. But Shemar also went on to clarify his stance on the ignorance that follows these rumors.
"I have fans that are gay, men that come up to me, and they're inspired by me, or they like me as an entertainer, and when they want to give me a hug or take pictures with me, what, am I supposed to not put my arm around them or stand next to them, and if the man next to me in the picture is gay, that makes me gay? That's just simpleminded ignorance, and I don't play that."
I think it's safe to say that nobody's sexuality is anyone's business but their own, but seeing a celebrity stand up for everyone around him is really endearing. Not to mention those abs...
