Christmas dinner is pretty much the meal I wait all year for. Now you can enjoy it even in the hot summer weather.

Could of made 4 or 5 flavors cause christmas dinner has so many great things to try! 3 main dishes that every christmas or thanksgiving should have are all here. Salted caramel turkey, mashed potato with gravy ripple and the not so weird cranberry because of course you need the cranberry sauce! Believe it or not this was pretty good!

Ingredients:

For ice cream base:

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream

For buttered mash potato and gravy:

  • 1 pound white potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup brown gravy

For salted caramel turkey:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 6 Tbsp turkey drippings(fat)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

For cranberry sauce:

  • 1 can cranberry sauce

Directions:

For ice cream base:

  1. Heat milk and cream over medium heat in a saucepan until boiling.
  2. While the dairy is heating mix sugar and egg yolks in a medium bowl, as soon as dairy is boiling slowly pour into egg mixture while whisking.
  3. Set aside.

For buttered mash potato and gravy:

  1. In large pot of boiling salted water, cover and cook potatoes until tender, about 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and return to a bowl and whip with ice cream base and butter until smooth. Pour into a loaf pan and swirl in cooled gravy and freeze,

For salted caramel turkey:

  1. Heat sugar on moderately high heat in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. As the sugar begins to melt, stir vigorously with a whisk or wooden spoon. As soon as the melted sugar is simmering, stop stirring. You can swirl the pan a bit if you want, from this point on.
  2. As soon as the sugar is a  dark amber in color, immediately add the fat to the pan. Whisk until the fat has melted.
  3. Once the fat has melted, take the pan off the heat. Count to three, then slowly add the cream to the pan and continue to whisk to incorporate.
  4. Whisk until caramel sauce is smooth. Let cool in the pan for a couple minutes, pour in sea salt and stir. And caramel and ice cream base to a bowl and whip until combined.
  5. Freeze in loaf pan.

For cranberry sauce:

  1. Whip together cranberry sauce and ice cream base in a bowl. Pour into loaf pan and freeze.
