Snowboarder Engulfed in "Snownado" On The Slopes

This snowboarder played the ultimate disappearing act when he encountered a rare "snownado" on the slopes.

While on top of the mountain above Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, snow and ice appeared to be whipped into a column of air much like a tornado.

That didn't put this extreme sports fanatic off, he whipped through the center of this snownado and disappeared onto the other side as it continued to whirl around the mountain-side.

Snownados are created when a mass of cold air passes over the warmer surfaces that are heated by the warmth of the sun. Wind shear then causes the rising air to spin.
