Drew Scott, one half of the hit TV show Property Brothers, pulled off his biggest project yet this week when he arranged a special, secret proposal for longtime girlfriend Linda Phan.
The real estate expert went all-out to make sure his proposal was perfect, and bragged that he had to be "stealthy as a ninja" to keep Phan from spoiling the surprise.
She was definitely impressed, but women everywhere are sure to be disappointed now that Scott is off the market.
It all began at the upscale Toronto restaurant Piano Piano, where Scott took Phan for a romantic dinner. Earlier, Scott had recorded a cover of Train's hit song "Marry Me." He arranged for the restaurant to play his song before he popped the question, and then bring out a special cake.
The cake had been decorated in the style of Phan's favorite book, Doctor Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go, but with the words changed to read Oh, the Places We'll Go. How touching!
As if that wasn't enough, Scott had one more surprise up his sleeve: the company Christmas party Phan expected they would go to after dinner was actually a surprise engagement party, and everyone from both their families was invited.
After reading about all the thought and work he put into this proposal, it's no surprise she said yes.
Scott shared the good news with his Twitter followers on Wednesday, saying that "every day for the past 6 years my love for Linda has grown stronger & last night I became the luckiest man in the world when she said #ido."
The happy couple met at the Toronto Fashion Week in 2010. Phan works as the creative director for Scott Brothers Entertainment, helping to run the marketing and charity work for Drew and his twin brother Jonathan's company.
