What's your biggest fear? Heights? Spiders? Drowning? Elevators? No matter what your deepest fear is, chances are you have a good reason.
For one man in Holyoke, Massachusetts, his fear is escalators.
The story has been shared almost 200,000 times after Paula Picard took a picture of what went down.
“A few people started gathering, waiting to get on,” Picard wrote. “This young man offered the simplest kindness.”
A man had stepped forward, reaching out his arm and saying, “Can I help you, sir?”
“He quietly started to explain to the young man that he had gotten stuck on an escalator once and was a little scared,” Picard recalled. “The young man gently offered an assurance, they looked at each other eye to eye for just a moment and the older man accepted his arm.”
"YOUR FAMILY RAISE YOU RIGHT!" Picard says in her post.
The kind gesture has garnered a lot of attention online, and for good reason.
"AWW. WHAT A GREAT [GESTURE] IN BEHALF OF THIS YOUNG MAN...BLESSINGS TOO BOTH," commented Anna Salinas.
"What a wonderful act of kindness! These are the stories I like to read about," Michele Williams said.
"Reminder that it doesn't matter color, sex, or religion we are all human! Love this story ! Truly uplifting!" reminded Tabitha Quinn.
This is one of the few stories that has not received ANY negative backlash! It's all about the good of the stranger and how people can still come together to conquer anything!
