Susan Boyle, the Scottish singer that captured hearts with her incredible voice and was the runner-up on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, has been missing from the public eye for the past 18 months.
Although she released her new album, A Wonderful World in early November, there are no plans yet for a live tour. In 2012, Boyle was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome and Type 2 diabetes, which make it very difficult or her to perform.
"I hide behind that person on stage. You can feel like death, but you have to put it on. The audience wants to see someone smiley," said the 55--year-old singer to The Mirror.
After having lost nearly 30 pounds, Boyle does look fresh-faced and motivated to continue singing. We really hope that she can continue down this healthy road to recovery!
