'Teen Mom 3' Star Reveals Heartbreaking News About Her Mother

Less than 8 years ago, MacKenzie McKee was living the life of a normal teenager. She was a high school student and cheerleader with a loving family and boyfriend. However, life as she knew it changed when she found out that she was pregnant with her first child at 16.

MacKenzie gave birth to a baby boy, Gannon, in 2011, and was cast as one of the stars of MTV's 16 and Pregnant and in the new season of Teen Mom 3. She eventually married her boyfriend, and the couple welcomed two more children, a daughter, Jaxie Taylor and another son, Brocs Weston.

It hasn't been an easy journey for the young mom, but she always had her mother, Angie Douthit, cheering her on and offering her a shoulder to cry on when she needed it.

Now, it's MacKenzie turn to support her mother as she struggles with her health. Angie was thought to have been dealing with bronchitis, but unfortunately tests revealed she is suffering from something much more serious: brain cancer.

Shortly after the diagnosis, MacKenzie opened up about her mother's condition on social media and unfortunately, her prognosis is looking grim.

MacKenzie broke the news about her mom's stage IV brain cancer diagnosis on Twitter and asked fans for prayers.

"All prayer warriors. Please pray for my mom. What we thought was bronchitis turned out to be 3 masses on her brain, 1 large one in her," McKee tweeted.

The former reality star also revealed that in addition to the three masses on her brain, doctors found some in her lungs as well as "multiple blood clots."

She continued, "We are in shock and devastated. She has brain surgery tomorrow. I'm sick. I'm so sick and want to wake up...from this nightmare"

Angie has already been admitted to the hospital and a source close to the family told TMZ that radiation and chemotherapy will be the next step in the grueling treatment process.

The news of Angie's health decline is especially shocking because she appears very fit and healthy, and just recently competed in a diabetes awareness run. On the GoFundMe page created to raise funds for the treatment, the family described Angie as "the healthiest person" they know.

"Always eating everything organic. Doesn't smoke and never did, doesn't drink and she runs marathons and works out 2-3 times a day. Cancer does not run in the family. So this has come as a complete shock to the family."

MacKenzie later took to Instagram and shared a collage of her mom with an emotional caption that read, "The most amazing woman I know. She taught me everything I know. She is the only reason I am the woman I am today. I love you Mom. I'm devastated, I'm angry, I'm shook. I can't breath. You are everything. Please pray @angiedouthit."

We're praying for Angie's swift recovery.
