The Truth Behind How Avocados Can Be Bad For Your Health

Avocados are one of the most popular foods that healthy people seem to put in everything. They add it to salads, they eat it raw, there really seems to be endless options for this particular treat. The problem is, health experts are concerned that people might be eating too much of it.

Nutritionists say that we need to limit our intake of avocados otherwise we could all be in for a surprising and annoying result: a whole bunch of weight gain.

Avocados are known for their fatty nature, but because they are thought of as "the good fats" people don't often realize that by eating too much you will have the same result as eating too much of any fats. There is roughly 22g of fat per avocado, which is about a third of how much you should be eating in one day.

There are also 250-280 calories per fruit, so even though there is a bunch of fiber and vitamins inside, it can lead to weight gain if you eat too much.

Nutritionists suggest that you don't eat more than half of an avocado a day. They reccomend to be careful while eating guacamole which often contains several avocados and can trick you into eating way too much.

If you want to combat the fat that an avocado has, there are ways around it. If you are someone who works out a lot and burns a lot of calories and fat on a regular basis, eating an entire avocado probably won't cause you any weight gain.

If not, unfortunately you may need to slow down on the avocado intake!
