It's that time of year again! Time to regret throwing out all those shoe boxes because wrapping weird shapes is super challenging! Luckily there is a way to wrap non-square things and it isn't so hard!
A few simple folds and careful taping will successfully wrap any shape you need! It's almost like making your own gift bag! Check it out below and go get wrapping!
- Wrapping paper
- Decorative ribbons
Measure out how much paper you will need to cover the item.
Trim off any access you wont need. Fold the paper closed and tape it together. Fold up a portion at the bottom, about a third of the wrapping paper.
Using this flap, fold the edges inward so that there are two points on either end.
Pull the points together, so they meet in the middle and tape them together.
Stand the bang up and push out your base, adding the gift in.
Fold down the top and tape it closed. Add a cute ribbon to top it off.
If you have a round jar, there is a different technique you can use. Use a little piece of tape to secure your wrapping paper then roll it around.
Tape it at the end and then the way to close off the ends is simple!
It folds in almost like a pinwheel, little pieces at a time. It actually looks quite pretty when it's all done!
Tape it closed with a ribbon and you're all set!
Just in case you needed a refresher for square items, start by folding in your bigger pieces.
Fold down the one long edge, then the two shorter pieces before taping the final edge to cover all the folds.
Repeat on the other side and you are all set!
Your tree is going to look amazing with all your perfectly wrapped gifts under it!
