This 98 Year-Old WWII Veteran Was Honored With The Song 'Anchors Aweigh'

When the Navy marched down his street, Ernest "Ernie" Thompson couldn't believe his eyes. The 98 year-old WWII Veteran, stood at attention as the crew serenaded him with a rendition of 'Anchors Aweigh.'

The former sailor who served on the USS Tennessee and the USS Missouri, shook hands with each sailor as they climbed the steps to shake his hand. Ernie graciously accepted the plaque they presented to him and said "I love all of you dearly, Thank you for this day."

Since it's posting on Facebook, the touching video tribute has gone viral with over 6 million views and 100 thousand shares.
