This 8-Year-Old Piano Prodigy Plays Chopin At A Train Station And Onlookers Are Brought To Tears

This incredible pianist is Jay Lewington. He innocently sits down on the bench, but when he plays Chopin at St. Pancras Station in London, England, the woman in the red jacket can't believe what she is hearing. Truth be told, neither can we!

Lewington is self taught, from watching YouTube tutorials, yet he plays with the poise and patience of a professional pianist three times his age. As he catches his rhythm, another woman stops, she can't believe what he is doing either.

The music just pours from his fingertips and as he finishes playing the camera pans around to the crowd gathered behind. Everyone claps and the woman in red thanks young Jake for playing so beautifully. She tells him that he reminded her of her brother, who also played.

At the time it was uploaded, in 2013, Jay had only been playing the piano for one year. The video has over 1 million views!

Check out this video of him playing Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin later that year:

I mean, WHAT?! I can't even play chopsticks without messing up. This guy's definitely got talent!

Jay is still playing the piano and he has certainly grown in three years! In this video, posted in June 2016, he plays a beautiful rendition of Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy. We sure hope to see more of Jay in the future!
