This New Cabinet Appointee Showed Up For Work On A Horse

How do you get to work? Car? Bus? If you're the new Secretary of the Interior you show up on horseback!

Ryan Zinke and his faithful horse Tonto showed up ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work. The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement tweeted out a picture of the unusual commute.

It shouldn't be surprising Zinke, a 5th generation Montanan and lifelong outdoors-man, chose a horse as his favorite vehicle. He grew up next to Glacier National Park and says he spent as much time as possible in the outdoors.

Zinke, a former Navy SEAL, finds himself running a department with over 70,000 employees and responsible for over 500 million acres of land. It's a daunting task for anyone, but Zinke doesn't seem intimidated. He said he was "honored and humbled" to serve, while saying he would make sure the lands were "managed and persevered for generations to come."
