One restaurant's touching display of generosity is being celebrated by people around the world this Christmas season.
Shish Restaurant in the UK is offering a free three course meal for homeless and elderly customers on Christmas day.
The restaurant's owners originally shared the news with a handwritten note in their window, saying that "no one eats alone on Christmas Day! We are here to sit with you."
Needy customers who arrive to share the holiday cheer will be treated to a traditional Turkish meal including yogurt, a choice of casseroles or skewered meat, and rice pudding for dessert.
Since announcing the event the restaurant has been receiving kind messages, warm wishes, and even offers for donations from people impressed by this act of Holiday cheer.
@shishsidcup This is a great initiative & I'd like to help on Christmas day. Please let me know how I could help & when I should be there.— Cindy Cheng (@cindycheng) December 7, 2016
