This Trick Will Keep Your Herbs As Fresh As The Day You Got Them!

Spring is just around the corner and you know what that means! It will be time to get those gardens up and running and filled with herbs! Or maybe you are able to grow them indoors and your collection is almost too much to be able to use.

Well, luckily for you there is actually a super simple way to freeze your herbs in olive oil so that they will be as fresh as the day you cut them any time of the year.

Directions:

Hard herbs like rosemary, sage, thyme or oregano can all be frozen to use at a later date. It is very simple to do!

Start by cutting up your herb, making sure they are firm and very fresh.

You can chop them up finely or leave them in larger sprigs or leaves, which ever you prefer.

Then you are going to want to use an ice cube tray and pack each cube about 2/3 full with one herb.

Then you are going to pour extra virgin olive oil to fill up the tray.

If you are making a variety of different herbs don't forget to label the tray. Then cover it in plastic wrap and freeze.

Once frozen, remove them from the ice cube tray and put each herb in its own labelled freezer bag.

Toss them back into the freezer and then you'll have fresh herbs anytime you need them!
