Top 10 Lazy Dog Breeds Who Are Bigger Couch Potatoes Than You

Some dogs have a lot of energy. They are good jogging partners, will play fetch for hours, and never tire out. And then there are these dogs.

These are the top ten laziest dog breeds. They are perfect for those who live in apartments or who just want a dog who won't judge them when they push that "continue watching" button on Netflix. If you want a dog but one that will be happy to hang out on the couch, these dogs are for you!

10. Tibetan Spaniel

These are the perfect lap dogs. They love nothing more then to nap as long as you are nearby. They are pretty small, weighing between 9-15 lbs so they would be great in an apartment.

9. Bull Mastiff

Who can resist those big floppy cheeks? These giant dogs are usually 100 -130 lbs, but they are not very energetic. They are calm and quiet, so all you have to worry about is where to fit this adorable beast.

8. Boston Terrier

They apparently are great at releasing their energy all at once on their walks, so once they come back inside they calm down and are easy to train. They are a sturdy medium sized dog, weighing between 10-25 lbs.

7. Miniature Pinscher

These tiny little cuties are able to wear themselves out in a matter of minutes. They are likely going to run around for five or ten minutes then curl up and nap for hours. They are only 8-10 lbs so if you are looking for a tiny friend these are a great option!

6. Pug

I can attest to this first hand, pugs are super lazy. They also snore fairly often. They are wonderful little buddies and the best nap partners (even when they hog the bed). They are between 13 - 20 lbs (although most get a little chubby) and are such lovable little goofballs.

5. Basset Hound

Outside, this animal often becomes super focused on smells and animals because they are bred to hunt, but they tend to get a little lazy from time to time. It must be a lot of work dragging around those big floppy ears! They are a solid medium sized dog, weighing 45-65 lbs.

4. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

A relatively small dog who isn't yappy? Impressive! This 10-18 lb dog is a great little lap dog who is very intelligent.

3. Chow Chow

These little bears are too precious. They are not all that little, 45 - 70 lbs, but their laziness makes up for the extra fluff. They love to lay down on the cold floors because they tend to get overheated.

2. Shih Tzu

These small dogs have a bit of a reputation as a "yappy" dog, but they are friendly and smart and with the proper training the yappy tendencies can be controlled. They spend most of their time sleeping, or thinking about sleeping. They need a lot of beauty rest to keep that hair in order!

1. English Bulldog

These perfect little babies, they just have so much personality and a lot of it tends to revolve around just how lazy they really are. They usually weigh between 45-55 lbs, but their stocky build and constant presence on your side of the bed might make them feel a bit bigger.

Have you ever had any of these dogs? Were they just as lazy as it says? Or do you have a different breed who is trying their best to get into the top ten? Share with the dog lovers in your life!
