TV Anchor Finds Out The Worst News While On Air

There's nothing more devastating than unexpectedly losing someone you love to a senseless accident. Finding out details about the cause of death is horrifying enough but imagine learning about it in front of the entire nation.

A senior news anchor in India found out about the passing of her husband in the worst way possible - live on national television.

Supreet Kuar, 28, was anchoring IBC24's morning news when news broke about a fatal two-vehicle collision. Kaur proceeded to report information about the crash that claimed the lives of three of the five passengers. At some point during the broadcast, she started to piece together the details which revealed her husband, Harsad Kawade, to be one of the victims.

Despite the heartbreaking realization, Kaur carried on with her reporting duties and remained extremely composed. The brave anchor was so calm that even the viewers weren't able to tell that something was wrong.

"She was doing her job, and she kept on doing it with composure and without showing her emotions on air," said the IBC24 editor-in-chief Ravi Kant Mittal.

Kawade's death was only confirmed after the broadcast ended which is when Kaur finally broke down in tears. "She is an extremely brave lady. We are proud of her as an anchor, but what happened today has left us in shock," said one of her colleagues.

Kaur and Kawade had only been married for 18 months before the tragic accident. Asides from his wife, Kawade is also survived by his daughter according to The Sun.

We commend Kaur for her display of fortitude and professionalism. Most people in her position would have reacted very differently.
