Rocky Ridge Refuge is an animal sanctuary that cares for abandoned and neglected animals. There are all manner of animals living a the sanctuary, from horses and cows, to donkeys, chickens, and dogs, there is a place for everyone.

One very special resident, Cheesecake, is a capybara. When her rescuer, Janice, introduced this large rodent to a litter of orphaned puppies, her strong mothering instincts took over.

Thanks to Cheesecake and Janice, over 5 litters of puppies have been rescued and raised into happy, strong dogs.

"I think she just kind of has that aura around them that makes them feel safe and secure," says Janice.
