If You're A Dog Lover, 'Walk With Walnut' Will Break Your Heart

Mark Woods wasn't expecting to get this kind of response when he posted about his heartbreaking decision to euthanize his beloved 18-year-old Whippet, Walnut. The sweet dog has suffered from a failing body - the inevitable decline that comes with age. If he were human, he'd be well over 100 years old.

In a moving  request, he invites dog lovers and friends to join him and Walnut on their final walk at their favorite spot. The two will be at Porth Beach in Newquay, United Kingdom at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12.

His last walk post went viral and now over 3,000 people have reacted to his request; hundreds are expected to join them on their last stroll along the beach.

"Such a hard decision, but sometimes the last thing you can do for an animal when they have given you unconditional love their whole life is to give them the peace we so often cannot give our family and loved ones at the end," he said.

Since his post went viral, hundreds of messages of support came back in response:
