Cheese should probably be in a food group all by itself. There are few things quite as delicious as cheese is. Not only is it tasty, but it is incredibly versatile. You can melt it, sprinkle it and most important for today: create a delicious dip with it!
This White Queso dip is easy to make and super tasty. It is sure to be a hit any time you make it!
- 1/4 cup white onion, finely minced
- 3/4 lbs white american cheese, cubed
- 4 oz monterey jack or pepper jack cheese, cubed
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 Chorizo sausage, chopped into small pieces for garnish (optional)
- 1 jalepeno, sliced for garnish (optional)
- Tortilla chips
In a food processor, add your white onion and both types of cheese. Pulse the cheese into a finer blend so that it will melt easier and smoother.
In a sauce pan, melt your butter. Add the milk to the pan followed by the blended cheese.
Use a whisk to stir constantly until all the cheese is melted to a smooth consistency. Be careful not to overheat.
Add salt and pepper in and mix it through.
Transfer the White Queso Dip to a bowl and garnish with some of your chopped sausage and sliced jalapenos and get dipping!
