Wimbledon Champion 'Lucky To Be Alive' After Getting Stabbed In Her Home

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova says she is 'lucky to be alive' after she was attacked in her home Tuesday morning.

It is believed that Kvitova was stabbed during an attempted robbery in her home in Prostejov, Czech Republic. According to the Czech police, it was a "random criminal act." The attacker allegedly entered the home under the guise of reading an electricity meter.

Kvitova posted a statement on Twitter, letting her fans know she was doing okay.

Petra Kvitova won the Wimbledon championship in 2011 and 2014. She also won a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics.

We are happy to hear that she is okay and we hope they catch whoever did this!
