Partridge brought her horse, a grey thoroughbred mare Blizz, for a competition in Kentucky. As a horse trainer, she’d never thought that she’d able to travel, sleep, and share cookies in the same room with her horse.

Despite feeling intrigued and pleased by the motel staff’s nondiscriminatory attitude towards larger animals, Partridge said she’d likely never bring her horse again.

“I think maybe I would have to get a horsey diaper or something like that,” she told reporters. “Also, horses only sleep three to four hours a night so she might be trying to keep me up all night watching TV.”

However, Partridge may not be able to try this again.

Super 8 said they were unaware that someone brought a horse into one of their rooms and later clarified their pet policy in a statement: “We are pet-friendly, and it is [for animals] 25 pounds and under. We had no knowledge of [the horse] being in the room.”
