You Need To Know About This Important Infant Bath Recall

If you purchased the Summer Infant Lil' Luxuries Whirlpool, Bubbling Spa & Shower bathtub, you will want to return it immediately.

The Rhode Island-based manufacturer is recalling 86,000 baby bath slings due to risk of submersion and drowning. The fabric sling that attaches the headrest to the bed frame is missing a white plastic clip and can become detached.

No serious injuries or drownings have been reported, thankfully. According to Consumer Product Safety Commission reports, the slings have become detached in 91 incidents and 11 babies have reportedly bumped their heads.

The recalled baths are made for use by children ages birth to 2 years old, and were sold between October 2012 and October 2013 for around $60 at stores like Toys R Us. According to the company's website,  the affected products include the following item numbers, according to the company's website: 18840, 18850, 18863, and 18873.
