You'll Love These Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats Even If You Don't Love Candy Corn Itself!

With Halloween coming up, it’s so fun trying out new novelty recipes to serve at all the spooky festivities! These Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats are a fun spin on a classic, and the kids will love helping to make and gobble these all up!

All it takes is your standard Rice Krispie treat ingredients plus some food coloring, and you’ve got yummy candy corn wedges to share. You’ll love these for the Halloween season!

Ingredients:

For the yellow layer:

  • 4 ½ cups Rice Krispies
  • 5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Yellow food coloring

For the orange layer:

  • 2 ¾ cups Rice Krispies
  • 3 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Orange food coloring

For the white layer:

  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

  1. Prepare two 8-inch cake pans with nonstick spray.
  2. To make the yellow layer, in a medium pot on low heat, melt the butter and marshmallows together, stirring frequently until smooth. Stir in the yellow food coloring until well-combined, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour yellow marshmallow mixture over the 4 ½ cups Rice Krispies cereal, stirring well.
  4. Pour half the yellow Rice Krispie mixture into each prepared cake pan, pressing around the outer edge to create a ring. Spritz hands with nonstick spray to make pressing the mixture easier.
  5. Repeat the same process with the orange layer (mold into a ring smaller than the yellow outer ring), then the white layer (in the center of each cake pan).
  6. Once cake pans are filled, cool fully, about 30 minutes. Once set, remove carefully from cake pans, then cut into 6-8 wedges.
  7. If desired, add a paper straw, or serve as is. Enjoy!
