Coca-Cola may be the world's favorite sugary beverage. But what many don't know is that it's good for so much more than just a boost of caffeine. Here are 10 uses for Coca Cola which will have you stockpiling bottles in every room.

1. Pest Killer

Coca-Cola is known to kill slug, snails and other small pests. While the sugar attracts them, the acid in the liquid quickly proves fatal to them. This use for Coke is so popular that some farmers in India spray their farms with it instead of regular pesticides.

2. Toilet Bowl Cleaner

The use of Coca-Cola as a toilet bowl cleaner has been an open secret for years. Do you have a dirty toilet? Just pour a can of Coke in the bowl, let it sit for an hour or so and flush to reveal a surprisingly sparkling toilet.

3. Gum Remover

Getting gum stuck in your hair is one of the most unpleasant experiences you can have. Many of us could have avoided an unfortunate haircut if we knew Coke was a solve-all solution.

To free yourself from this sticky situation, make sure the drink is cold and then pour it in the affected parts of your hair. The acid will neutralize the chewing gum, making it easy for you to simply extract it from your head.

4. Coca-Cola Wings

Coca-Cola wings are a popular delicacy in China. In fact, so many people love this recipe that it's been given the stamp of approval by the drink-makers themselves. Preparing them involves mixing Coke with ingredients like brown sugar, onions and garlic. You can find the recipe for it here, on the company's website.

5. Medical Breakthrough

We hope you'll never need to use it in this way, but Coca-Cola has recently been hailed as an effective treatment for gastric phytobezoar, a painful stomach condition which causes bowel obstructions.

Doctors found that the fizzy drink had a 91% success rate in curing patients, due to its chemical resemblance to gastric acid. Patients who did not undergo the Coca-Cola treatment had to go through gastric surgery, making this option a much sweeter one in our books.

6. Metal Shine

Coca-Cola is great at removing rust and restoring the shine to tarnished metals. When removing rust, simply soak the object overnight and scrub it with a stiff brush the next day. Similarly, you can soak your tarnished pennies and jewelry and wipe them down the day after to restore their shine.

7. Grease Buster

Do you have an ugly grease stain which regular cleaners won't fix? Pour a can of Coke into your machine when you're doing the washing, along with your detergent and run it as usual. Aside from grease, Coca-Cola is also known to effectively remove blood stains.

8. Stink Destabilizer

Skunk spray, diesel, dog urine are all smells you wouldn't want to be around, much less have on you. But it's common knowledge that they're especially hard to get rid of. That is, unless you have a can of Coke. If you get sprayed by a skunk, douse yourself in Coca-Cola and sit for a few minutes before you rinse off in the shower. For smells around the house, add a can of Coke to your cleaning detergent before mopping or pour the drink on the smelly area and clean it up after about an hour.

9. Grout Attacker

As with the other uses on this list, Coca-Cola will remove grout if you pour it on your tiles and wipe it off after a few minutes. Guess you can't get upset the next time someone spills a can on your floor.

10. Battery Repair

Stuck with a corroded car battery? Coca-Cola's acidic properties make it the perfect solution to clean up the corrosion.  Pour a bit of the liquid over each battery terminal, scrub with a toothbrush and rinse it off with water at the end.
