Unless you're a spiritual person who believes that there are some gifted individuals who are able to see the future, psychic predictions may seem ridiculous.

If you're among the skeptics, you have have a lot of reason to feel this way as there have been countless fake clairvoyants making false predictions.

However, on more than one occasion throughout history, some individuals have given us some eerily accurate descriptions of events in the future, and in many of the cases, it seems like there is more than just coincidence at play.

1. Edgar Cayce predicted J.F.K's Death

Dubbed the "Sleeping Prophet" and "the father of holistic medicine," American psychic and healer Edgar Cayce was one of the most documented clairvoyants of the 20th century.

In his trance state, he was able to not only answer questions about the universe and diagnose illnesses, he was also able to make accurate predictions about the future.

Cayce, whose gifts were evident from a young age, made more than 14,000 readings, but he is most known for predicting the deaths of two U.S. presidents while in office.

"You are to have turmoil "” you are to have strife between capital and labor. You are to have a division in your own land, before you have the second of the Presidents that next will not live through his office ... a mob rule!" he said in 1939.

On April 1945, Franklin D. Roosevelt died while serving as president. 18 years later, in November 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.

2. Robert Morgan knew the Titanic would sink

He never considered himself to be a clairvoyant, but many people throughout history are convinced that author Robert Morgan has special abilities.

In 1898, Morgan wrote a novel titled Futility, in which he told the story sinking of a ship called the Titan. It was an April night when the starboard side of the ship hit an iceberg, which is exactly the same time and circumstances under which the RMS Titanic sunk during its maiden voyage in 1912.

Both the fictional boat and the iconic Titanic collapsed 400 nautical miles away from Newfoundland, forcing people to consider this to be more than just a coincidence.  

3. Tana Hoy warned Americans about Oklahoma City Bombing

In 1995, during a live radio show, U.S. psychic Tana Hoy warned listeners about one of the worst terrorist attacks in the country before 9/11 - the Oklahoma City Bombing.

90 minutes after her prediction, Timothy McVeigh and his accomplices set off a bomb at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people.

Sources close to Hoy later revealed that he knew something was going to take place four months prior and even warned the FBI about it.

4. Mark Twain foresaw his own death

Celebrated author Mark Twain was known for his literary work, so not many people realize that he made a number of psychic predictions that turned out to be eerily accurate.

In 1858, a young Twain, whose real name was Samuel Clemens, had a premonition that haunted him for the rest of his life.

He had a dream in which he saw his younger brother, Henry, lying in a coffin, resting between two chairs in their sister's living room. A few weeks later, he saw the exact scene in real-life after his brother was killed in a boating accident.

Still, there is another prediction he made that's even more baffling. At some point, Twain, who was born in 1835 when Hailey's Comet was visible, revealed that he was foresaw his death and it would happen when the comet, which appeared every 75 years, was visible again. Sure enough, it happened exactly the way he predicted in 1910.

5. Jeffry R. Palmer predicted Hurricane Katrina

Australian medium Jeffry R. Palmer wasn't kidding when he informed the world about a natural disaster that would hit the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. He was talking about the 2004 tsunami that claimed many lives.

Despite the fact that many of his prediction turned out to be true, his warnings weren't heeded until after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the U.S. Gulf Coast.

6. Baba Vanga foretold the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami

Regarded as the "Nostradamus of the Balkans", blind clairvoyant Baba Vanga started making predictions at the age of 16 and continued to do so until her death in 1996 at the age of 85.

The Bulgarian psychic gained worldwide recognition after she prophesied a series of events across the globe that came true, including the 2004 tsunami, the 9/11 Twin Tower attacks, the Fukushima nuclear spill, as well as Obama and Trump's presidencies.

Before the deadly tsunami hit in 2004, she said that a "huge wave" would wash over a "big coast, covering people and towns and [causing] everything to disappear under water."

7. Nostradamus and the world's current state

No list about psychics would be complete without Nostradamus and his famous predictions. The 16th century French visionary predicted the turmoil the world is currently experiencing at the hands of terrorists.

From the 9/11 terror attacks to the ISIS organization, Nostradamus prophesied it all.

"Two steel birds will fall from the sky on the Metropolis," he warned. "The sky will burn at forty-five degrees latitude. Fire approaches the great new city."

There are many who still believe that many of Nostradamus' predictions have yet to come true, and frankly, that's a bit of a scary thought.
