Abby Huntsman Has Quit 'The View', Made Announcement This Morning

Abby Huntsman, the daughter of former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. and Mary Kaye Huntsman. She rose to prominence as a host on MSNBC, NBC News and Fox News Channel.

Since September 2018, she has co-hosted The View.

Abby revealed Monday she is departing from the daytime show to help manage her father Jon Huntsman Jr.'s campaign for governor of Utah.

She was added to The View as a conservative voice. The departure comes amid various reports of behind-the-scenes conflict among the co-hosts and fellow conservative Meghan McCain.

"It's not often in life that you get these moments to go fight for something that you are so passionate about."

Many fans have echoed the same statement: the wrong conservative voice is leaving.  Wishing instead that Meghan McCain was the one leaving.

Abby is taking it all in stride, sharing a photo of her and her father on Instagram along with this caption:

"Back to my Utah roots campaigning with this guy. Democracy in action ❄️ 🏔 "
