Take a moment to appreciate the beautiful bond between a boy and his best friend.

When Lennox was parted from his neighbor's beloved dog Bogart, he was devastated. Bogart's owner had decided to travel for a year out of state, and she took the pup with her.

After a year of being separated from Bogart, the neighbor returned and Lennox broke down in tears as he hugged his long-lost pal.  

The meeting couldn't be more sweet. As Lennox walks inside the front door, he has no idea the surprise that waits for him in the back porch. Bogart greets him with tail wagging and excited squeals of delight. Lennox wraps his arms around the pup, sobbing with joy.

Lennox's mom Ellen Tift Goebel captured a video of the emotional meeting with the caption:

"A year ago our neighbor had to take her dog to live in another state while she traveled and my son stood in her yard and cried as they drove away. We didn't think the dog would be gone for so long but my son has prayed for his beloved canine friend every single night since he left. Today we got the wonderful surprise that Bogart is back. I was able to get some video and you can tell they love each other. 👦💛🐶😭 p.s. He does have a dog of his own. ;-)"
