Whether you knew him as Super Dave Osborne, Curb Your Enthusiasm's Marty Funkhouser, or just as the legendary Bob Einstein, the Emmy-winning actor and comedy writer has probably made you laugh at least once.

Einstein's representative revealed that the comedian passed away at 76 from cancer. Deadline reports that the comedian was only recently diagnosed with the disease.

Along with his recurring role on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, Einstein also played the accident-prone stuntman Super Dave Osborne in a series of TV shows and movies.

He also recently appeared on Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, where he discussed his long career writing for classic TV variety shows including The Smothers Brothers, Van Dyke and Company, and The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour.

Einstein's brother, actor Albert Brooks, remembered him as "a great brother, father, and husband" on Twitter.

"A brilliantly funny man," he added. "You will be missed forever."

Einstein's family said that donations in his honor can be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
