Brain teasers, including puzzles, strategy and "spot the object" games, are a fun way to keep your mind sharp regardless of your age. According to a recent study published in the Journal of American Geriatrics, cognitive exercises help older adults "hold on to improvements in their reasoning skills and processing speed for up to 10 years."
So now let's get your brain working with a Christmas-themed "spot the object" brainteaser. A flower delivery company called Bloom & Wild created a Christmas illustration and asked people online to find the red-breasted robin hiding among the many Christmas trees.
Take a look at the photo below, can you spot the bird?
If you're having trouble, don't worry, you're not alone, and we can help you find it.
Bloom and Wild revealed that it takes most people quite a while to find sneaky little bird in the Christmas tree forest. Apparently, it takes on average two minutes and 26 seconds to solve the festive brainteaser, which is the same amount of time to takes to listen to "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by the Jackson 5.
"Our aim was to contribute a sense of fun that represented the much loved festive traditions of the season," explained Jim Warren from Bloom and Wild. "The Christmas Robin is synonymous with the spirit of giving... we only hope we haven't made it too difficult to find!"
If you still can't find it, here's where the robin is hiding:
The bird was hiding in the middle right side of the image all along. I think Bloom and Wild achieved their aim of making the bird really difficult to find.
Some people described it as "fiendishly tricky" and "well hidden!," while one fan joked that their "brain feels festively frazzled!"
How long did it take you to spot the robin? Let us know!
