In June 2008, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony went missing from the house she shared with her mother, Casey, and her grandparents, George and Cindy, outside of Orlando, Florida.

Shortly after the toddler's disappearance was announced, strange details began to emerge. For starters, Cindy didn't report Caylee's disappearance for over a month after she vanished.

As more information about the case became available, it was clear that Casey wasn't as distressed as a missing child's parent would be. In fact, her Facebook photos showed her to have been partying and going on shopping sprees with a friend's stolen checkbook while her daughter was gone.

Law enforcement spent months searching for the little girl, and on December 11, 2008 they found remains a few hundred feet from the Anthony's residence. Soon after, the remains were identified as Caylee's.

Casey was charged with murdering her daughter, and her trial was broadcast across the nation. Her attorneys tried to pin the crime on her parents, but that did not stick. At the time, Casey was facing the death penalty.

However, to everyone's dismay, Casey was acquitted for first degree murder, aggravated child abuse and manslaughter in 2011. Instead, she received minor charges for interfering with the investigation by lying to the police.

Although the legal case has been closed for six years, new information about the Anthonys is often leaked to the public. Casey and her parents have occasionally spoken to the media over the years, but none has raised more brows than a recent interview with Geroge.

The grieving grandfather appeared on an episode of Crime Watch Daily, hosted by Chris Hansen, and claimed that he has seen Caylee in their house since her death.

In the new interview, George told Hansen that he has "seen Caylee on a couple of occasions." When Hansen asked if he saw Caylee in a dream or as an apparition, he insisted that it was real.

"No, no. I've seen her in the flesh in my house," George replied. "One time she woke me up in the morning just tapping on me with her little finger like she used to do. "˜JoJo wake up.'"

He continued, "It wasn't a dream. It was like you and I are talking right now."

George, who Caylee affectionately called "JoJo," also recalled a time when he "walked with her down the hallway, she walked into her old room."

A tearful Cindy was sitting beside her husband during the interview. She nodded her head as her husband shared his stories and said she believed him.

When asked why he thinks Caylee keeps showing up, George said it's because of the bond they shared.

"That's not an imagination. That's love, and that's a connection that I wish more people could have," he said.

George and Cindy agreed to give this exclusive interview so people can be made aware of "how traumatic it's been."

George also opened up about his feelings towards Casey's acquittal. Although he doesn't believe Casey murdered her, he thinks she should still be held responsible for Caylee's disappearance.

"She should be in jail because of Caylee not being here," he said.

The grandparents also hope that their appearance on the show will urge their daughter to be more honest.

Casey has largely remained out of the public eye since the case was closed. She gave her first interview to The Associated Press earlier this year in which she talked about her life after the trial, her desire to have another child, and how she believes that she was considered guilty by the public well before her trial started.
