Cashews Recalled Because Glass Pieces Were Found In Some Jars

Thousands of cans of Southern Grove Cashews have been recalled after shards of glass were discovered to be inside.

Several customer reports identified Southern Grove Cashews Halves & Pieces with sea salt that had glass in mixed in with the nuts.

The products were sold at Aldi stores in two dozen states, so far no injuries have been reported.

The recalled snacks were packed in 8-ounce cans with UPC code: 041498179366 and best before dates of 11/27/18 and 11/28/18.

Although the recalled cashews have been removed from store shelves, customers are advised to return any recalled canisters to the store where they bought it for a full refund.

The states affected by the recall include:

Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC., Wisconsin and West Virginia.
