Cat Pulled From Wreckage Of A Burning Building, And Now He's Looking For His Family

On Tuesday June 13th, a fire ripped through and consumed the Grenfell Tower in London, England. It is being called the worst fire in British history, with at least 17 people losing their lives and many more injured.

As of right now, more than 68 people have been rushed to hospital, and it is believed no one on the top three floors of the Grenfell Tower has survived.

The cause is yet to be determined, but residents had previously raised concerns regarding unsafe evacuation procedures and overall safety of the building.

"All our warnings fell on deaf ears and we predicted that a catastrophe like this was inevitable and just a matter of time," says a group of residents who were lucky to survive.

While hundreds of people fought for the lives, it's hard not to think about the countless animals who may have also perished in the blaze.

However, one little cat managed to escape and survive the massive blaze and he's now recovering peacefully.

Paucho, a small grey-and-white cat, was found outside the tower during the massive fire. He was taken to a church nearby, which was turned into a refuge area, and is now being comforted and cared for by local residents.

The people watching over Paucho believe he was separated from his owners during all the chaos, but there are high hopes that everyone will be reunited soon.

It will not be an easy search, however, as the rubble is still being searched through and people are being identified.

"We have a list of missing people - there are so many. It's possible there are more than 50, possibly hundreds," says one of the community leaders (who asked not to be named) said regarding the search.
