In June 2017, HGTV alumni Chip and Joanna Gaines teased about the possibility of growing their family, and although some people didn't take them seriously, they weren't kidding at all.

"I would love another baby "” or twins! The kids are always asking me, 'Mom, can you have another baby?'"

Chip, who didn't like the idea at first, admitted in another interview that he changed his mind and that he's "really excited to go back and try to maybe...try to make some more babies."

Earlier this year, the former Fixer Upper stars announced that they were expecting their fifth child, and in June, they welcomed a baby boy named Crew.

While many fans were eager to send them well wishes, not everyone was excited about the news of the pregnancy or the baby's birth. There were people who felt Chip and Joanna were using the baby as a way to repair their allegedly rocky marriage.

"The "˜We're back together sex kid' never fixes a marriage, " wrote one Facebook user. "Just means one more kid, the marriage is still broken, and now the kid has to do pay for broken marriage sex."

Others shamed the couple for having too many children and "contributing to the over population of the planet."

Still, the couple didn't let the negativity affect their decisions. They're even considering having another baby to their brood.

While discussing the age difference between Crew and his older siblings, Drake, 13, Ella, 12, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 8, Chip hinted that there's a possibility they might try for baby No. 6.

"I think we have to have another one because I'm particular about the only child thing. Crew needs a sister to manage this whole thing out. Don't be surprised if No. 6 is in the cards!"

Joanna chimed in, "I love the labor part...This is the moment we get to meet this little baby. It's so much fun. I want to do it again."

She also previously joked that she's going to be "that 45-year-old who's pregnant," before adding "I'm open to whatever. I'm just having fun with it."

However, as much as she's excited about having another child, Joanna isn't ready to get pregnant again anytime soon. She admitted that carrying a baby at 40 is quite a challenge.

"When I first got pregnant I kept telling everyone at the office, 'Guys, I am my best self when I'm pregnant.' And then, for whatever reason, I was limping into work and I couldn't breathe. At 40, it's definitely a little different," she explained.

Even if baby Crew doesn't end up being a big brother, he'll have a cousin to grow up with as Joanna's sister Mary Kay just welcomed her sixth child.
