Costco Is Now Offering A Free Online Delivery Service

Anyone who has ever shopped at Costco will attest to the fact that they have the best deals on EVERYTHING, from household products and groceries, to electronics and books. If you don't believe it, this list might convince you.

Aside from the obvious, there so many other perks to owning a membership, including travel discounts, free tech support, an open return policy, free samples, and cheap eats ($1.50 hot dog and soda combo).

Nowadays, as more people turn to the internet to do their shopping, Costco has decided to get in with the times. The wholesaler has introduced a new online delivery program so you'll never again have to worry about carts bumping into you during the Sunday rush at your local Costco store.

Dubbed CostcoGrocery, CFO Richard Galanti announced the news about the new service recently during the company's fourth-quarter financial meeting according to bizjournal.com.

Now let's get into all the exciting details you're dying to know about CostcoGrocery.

Using CostcoGrocery, both members and non-members will be able to order from 500 non-perishable items, including household products and food.

If your order is over $75, you'll get to enjoy free two-day shipping, but if you already shop at the warehouse then you know it's not hard to reach that total.

However, according to Thrillist, if you're finding it hard to reach the minimum, the two-day shipping fee will only set you back $3, which, as far as online shipping goes, is quite a steal. CostcoGrocery will ship nationwide except for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

To take advantage of the service, head to Costco's website, and look out for the CostcoGrocery tab. You'll be able to browse and fill your digital cart up with products from your favorite brands including Kirkland.

It is important to note that the items cost slightly more online than they do in store, but that's the price of convenience we guess. There's also a note on the site that says, "Non-members may be assessed an additional surcharge for purchases."

For those of us who like to wait until our pantries are empty to pick up essentials, Costco also has another option for us.

Through Instacart, you can shop for groceries and receive same-day delivery to your door from 376 Costco locations. Bizjournal.com also reported that the number is expected to grow as the company works to bring Instacart to more locations.

We didn't think Costco could possibly get any better than it already is, but as usual they have proven us wrong.
