They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so some of Hollywood's biggest directors should be very flattered by these photos that reimagine their most iconic scenes with cats.

These feline versions of famous movies are the work of Sarah and David from Nottingham, England. David runs a bar quiz and uses the silly movie parodies as clues.

His cats Willow and Tara are the real stars of these shots, but as you can see from this outtake it's not easy to make a cat pose for the camera.

Luckily, both cats start to act much more professional when they're offered treats, and Sarah and David are happy to reward them for their hard work.

After sharing some of their photos on Instagram the two have built a following for themselves, with more than 50,000 people waiting to see which classic film they recreate next.
