Crafts You Can Make With Empty Wine Bottles

Have you ever held an event at your home which at the end of the evening leaves you with empty wine bottles or beer cans laying around? Well, if so we have some great crafting ideas that you can do with those empty bottles, so don't move to quickly to tossing them.

Even if you're not much of a party host you can make a note to yourself to save your wine bottles after opening, that way in a bit of time you'll have enough to do crafts too!

The first time I decided to make a decorative wine bottle, I was surprised at how easy it was to do, and how inexpensive it was. Most of these wine bottle decorations that can be bought at major home decor stores go for some outrageous amount, so it's beyond amazing to know that I can make them for myself right in my own home.

Get creative and think outside the box, you'll be surprised with some of the amazing ideas you can come up with yourself. However, for the time being if you need some inspiration here are some beautiful ideas to start with!

Personalized Candles

DIY Wind Chime

1. Once your wine bottles are empty, place the bottles in a sink of warm water to allow the labels to peel off.

2. Once labels are off, remove bottles from the sink and allow to dry completely.

3. Starting with bottle number 1, paint the entire bottle and neck with black chalkboard paint, and set aside to dry.

4. Once chalkboard paint is completely dry, let your creative mind do the rest and use chalk to draw or write whatever messages your heart desires!

5. For bottle number 2, starting at the bottom using clear school glue, begin to squeeze around the bottom and the place your twine over top. Continue to do so the entire way up the bottle, then set aside and allow to dry completely.

6. For bottle number 3, using a whiteboard pen write down whatever inscription you would like. Then, using a hot glue gun go over the inscription completely and set aside to dry.

7. Once the glue has hardened, choose a color of paint and paint over the entire bottle. Set aside and allow to dry (apply a second coat if needed).
