'Dance Moms' Star Sentenced To PRISON

Can you go to jail for being too annoying?

No, but you CAN go to jail for bankruptcy fraud. And 'Dance Moms' star Abby Lee Miller has learned that the hard way.

Miller will be spending 1 year and 1 day in prison for attempting to hide $775,000 worth of income in secret bank accounts while filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. She also is accused of divvying money between friends for them to bring in to the country in order to avoid paying the tax on the currency.

In 2010, Miller filed for bankruptcy admitting she owed more than $400,000 in unpaid taxes.

Miller released a statement regarding the fraud claims against her, and seemed to admit to her guilt.

"I made mistakes. I trusted people. But ultimately I have to take responsibility for those mistakes. I have to take the blame. I have to take the punishment."

As for spending time in prison, Miller is clearly frightened.

"I'm afraid of being physically abused or raped. I have to stay busy. If I thought about it every day, I'd just sit around and cry."

In addition to her jail time, Miller will have 2 years of supervised released and was also fined $40,000, plus another $120,000 ordered by the judge, AND she was required to give a DNA sample relating to her felony charge.
